INTRODUCTION
Padma Chandra College of Nursing is under the management of Smt. Dr. K. Navanthi Reddy who is the correspondent of the college. The college was bloomed under the leadership of Dr. K.G. Govinda Reddy who is a multifaceted personality District Secretary Red Cross Society & Staff Executive Member). He who hailed from a very rural area of Rayalaseema in Kurnool Dist. had a very good concern & love for the poor and the needy. His urge to serve the society was developed in the form of educational activities, under his correspondentship Rural Health Care Society.
Padma Chandra Super Speciality Hospital having 200 beds and Diagnostic Centres (C.T., MRI, 4D, 3D Scan) turned into his first success in this field. In due time, this college of nursing was developed to train students with specified skills and talents and thus to devote their life” to serve the needy”.

It aims at identifying health needs of the people, planning and providing quality care in collaboration with other health professionals and community groups.
Nursing is based on values of caring and aims to help individuals to attain independence in self care. It necessitates development of compassion and understanding of human behavior among its practitioners to provide care with respect and dignity and protect the rights of individuals and groups.
The teachers have the responsibility to be role models and create learning environment that enables students to acquire inquiry driven, self directed learning and faster an attitude of life long learning.
